Vaccination monkeypox

Helmie GroenHealth news, news

Vaccination is one of the means of combating the monkeypox outbreak by limiting transmission of the virus. A limited number of vaccines are available. That is why only people who have an increased risk of infection with monkeypox are vaccinated preventively. In the coming weeks, the GGD will invite people who are eligible for a vaccination against monkeypox. They receive a personal invitation from the GGD in their region.

After this, the GPs will identify their patients who use Prep. They can then be vaccinated by the GGD. We expect this process to take a few more weeks. Unfortunately we cannot speed this up.
