Healthcare is changing. In order to help contain rising healthcare costs and reduce waiting times in hospitals and mental health services, various tasks are being transferred from secondary care to general practice. Our GPs are trained to provide this care and can easily consult specialists in secondary care when needed.
In our practice, we also offer a shared care (1.5-line) consultation every six weeks. During these sessions, a hospital specialist sees patients in our practice together with the GP. This allows specialist input without a formal referral, while also further strengthening knowledge within primary care. At present, we offer shared care consultations with a dermatologist, a gastroenterologist, and an orthopaedic surgeon.
