Medical Student / Assistant to POH-S

Hi, I’m Daantje, a medical student who has been working in this (great!) practice for five years. I work as a receptionist and, for the past two years, I have also run cardiovascular risk management (CVRM) consultations under the supervision of Douwe van der Meulen. In this role, I provide preventive care for people with elevated cholesterol and/or high blood pressure.

A bit more about me: I really enjoy patient contact. I like learning, listening, hearing different perspectives, and incorporating them into my own way of thinking. I also enjoy challenging myself, which is reflected in my sports life. I play hockey for Amsterdam Women’s 1st team and, for the past year, also for the Dutch national women’s team. This takes up a lot of time, which explains my variable working days and availability.
