Academic Network of General Practice – Amsterdam UMC

16-02-2026 | Clinic news

As a general practice, we are affiliated with the Academic Network of General Practice of Amsterdam UMC (ANHA Amsterdam UMC). Within this network, we collaborate with GPs, researchers, and educators on scientific research, as well as on the improvement and innovation of healthcare and medical education. We value this collaboration, as it strengthens our knowledge and contributes to continuous improvement of care.

What does this mean for you?
Our participation in ANHA means that we share data on the care provided to our patients with the network. These data are used on an anonymised basis for scientific research. We also use this information to compare the care we provide with that of other general practices, helping us to further improve quality of care. In some cases, patients may be invited—on a voluntary basis—to participate in scientific research within the ANHA network.

Privacy
Your privacy is our priority. No personal data such as your name, address, or citizen service number is shared with ANHA. All data are fully anonymised and cannot be traced back to individual patients. If you do not wish for your data to be included in the ANHA database, you can inform your GP. Your data will then no longer be shared. For more information, please speak with your GP or visit www.amsterdamumc.org/anha
