GP trainee (AIOS) in our practice

30-04-2026 | Clinic news

Our practice is a recognised training practice. This means we regularly supervise GP trainees (AIOS – physicians in specialty training for general practice). As of 1 June, Jarik de Geus will join our practice for 12 months. He is in the third year of his GP training and is therefore well advanced in becoming an independent GP.

An AIOS is a fully qualified medical doctor with prior hospital experience. Under supervision of our GP(s), the trainee conducts independent consultations and participates in daily patient care. Supervising GPs are always available for consultation, and joint consultations may also take place.

We consider the training of future GPs an important part of our practice. By attending consultations with a GP trainee, you contribute to the education of tomorrow’s doctors.

If you have questions or prefer not to be seen by the GP trainee, please inform the reception when booking your appointment.
