Do you have (physical or mental) complaints and would you like to do something to feel better and stronger, but are not sure where to start? Ask your GP for a referral to Wellbeing on Prescription!
What is Wellbeing on Prescription?
Doing things you enjoy or find relaxing can help you feel better physically. For example by taking up a (new) hobby, getting active, or meeting new people. Sometimes it can be difficult to get started on your own. A wellbeing coach can help you with this.
What activities are available?
There are various types of activities available in Amsterdam – from cooking, gardening and singing to a book club, visiting museums, sports or dancing. A few examples are listed below. Together with your wellbeing coach, you will discuss what kind of activities you would like to do. There is always an activity that suits you!
Referral to Wellbeing on Prescription
If you are interested in Wellbeing on Prescription, ask for a referral through your GP or another healthcare provider (such as practice nurses, physiotherapists, occupational therapists and district nurses). Rather than receiving a prescription for medication or a referral to a specialist, you will receive a prescription with a referral to a wellbeing coach.
